Article Critic

The authors name is Malcolm Gladwell. He was born on September 3, 1963, in the United Kingdom, and raised in Elmira, Ontario. He is a writer for The New Yorker, and he is best known for the author of books, The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference, Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, and Outliers: The Story of Success. In the essay he wrote titled Dept. of Motor Vehicles Free Lizzie he is siding with Lizzie Grubman, trying to pursued people that it was not her fault. He is writing this essay for the people who believed that Lizzie caused the crash on purpose. He gets information about peddle errors that was written in 1989 in an issue of the journal Human Factors, it was written by U.C.L.A.psychologist named Richard A. Schmidt. The information he is using to pursued people is very reliable. His use of the evidence works well with the article and pursues me. He uses refutations in the article for example, when he is talking about pedal errors, you wonder to yourself what is a pedal error and how does it happen? Well when you keep reading you find out what it is and how it happens. In the article he only had one place where he got his information, with that one place he got really good information that persuaded me, but some people may want 2 or 3 different sources to pursued them. Otherwise he did a good job of getting what he wanted out of this article.

Achievements of Michael Jordan

I read an essay on Michael Jordan, the writer was not listed on the essay though. The position of the writer is on the side that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player alive. The audience that this essay is leading towards are the people that like that game of basketball and are interested in it as well. I interpreted that the writer is writing this essay because they want to persuade the reader that Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players ever, because of how they show almost all of his stats and accomplishments. The writers stays on the same side the whole time on the essay and has many stats and exact information on the subject. I believe everything in the essay is true, and has good information through out it. Why I believe that the information is true is that I have seen look a lot of these stats up because I am a really big fan of Michael Jordan.
